[Enter a Happy Title Here]

Hi! I'm Mary! I currently have a job that can be stressful at time. People call in or send in help request and we help them. Now, as anyone who has ever worked at a help desk or support center of some kind knows, there are always people who will find faults with the system you're working with. It doesn't matter if you were to fix everyone of those faults, they will find another one. Well, much like these people, there are people who finds "bugs" in their lives. The saddest part about this is that they get so focused and upset about the bugs that they never step back and see that hey their life as a whole really isn't that bad.
Now sometimes it is hard to step back and see the whole picture because there are always going to be trails in life and sometimes they are huge. But if I have learned nothing else from my work, I have learned one thing, and that is that I CAN do hard things. And when I feel like I can't, I have to stop and realize that the biggest thing stopping me is me. Because honestly, what is the worst that could happen?
So when I'm starting to feel like the bugs in my life are starting to get really big, here are some of the things I try to focus on or do to make my life a little better.

Helping someone else out. There is nothing like helping someone in need to help you realize just how small you problems really are. And not only that, but it makes you feel like you did something good. Little things like holding the door for someone, giving a compliment, or even just smiling at someone can make their day a lot better, too.

Take Breaks. I'm happy to say that I am pretty good at my job, and honestly I think I can attribute a lot of that to stopping to take a break when I get frustrated. This doesn't necessarily mean walking away for fifteen minutes, but small and simple things. I will stop for a minute or two to scroll through Facebook, text my mom or sister, or have a short conversation with a co-worker. A lot of times I feel like that little break helps me to keep from becoming frustrated or irritated with the work I'm doing.

Smiles/Laugh. Your body can't tell the difference between a real laugh and a fake one. So take every opportunity you have to laugh. This is a really easy one for me considering that I seem to find almost anything funny. You have to make a pretty horrible joke for me not to laugh. And going along with this, I think laughing at yourself is important too.

And if nothing else, I always try to remember that the future is going to be brighter. Because if I don't remember this, then I'm only letting is get darker
